Project Description

Project: Ethical & Fair Employment Decision-Making

Overview:
This course is designed to equip managers with the skills and knowledge needed to make fair, ethical, and legally sound employment decisions. Key areas covered include Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines, the company’s harassment policies, and fair systems for employee evaluations, layoffs, and promotions. Through immersive, real-world scenarios, managers learn to apply these principles effectively, promoting inclusivity and respect within their teams.

Project Objectives:
The course was created to address a critical need: reducing risks to the company’s reputation and minimizing legal exposure by ensuring managers are prepared to make informed, equitable decisions. By learning to handle hiring, promotions, layoffs, and performance ratings responsibly, managers help foster a workplace rooted in respect, fairness, and compliance with company policies.

My Role & Approach:
Leading the project from inception to delivery, I partnered closely with an HR Business Professional to understand the core challenges managers faced and align course objectives accordingly. Using AI tools, I accelerated the design process by 50%, streamlining ideation, content development, scenario creation, and knowledge assessments. Key tools used included Articulate Rise and Storyline for course interactivity, along with Vyond for scenario videos and GIFs, providing an engaging, multimedia learning experience.

Results:
Since its publication, this course has maintained a 5-star rating on the company’s LMS, underscoring its effectiveness and value. Managers have reported improved confidence and clarity in their decision-making processes, contributing to a more ethical, fair, and inclusive workplace.
